Using NOS Weather never releases you from the obligation to observe and follow track marshals, flag signals, official track releases and announcements from the track operator.
NOS Weather is a private, non-commercial guidance tool for trackday drivers on the Nordschleife and GP circuit at the Nürburgring. The app provides AI-generated probability estimates based on publicly available weather data from the Deutscher Wetterdienst (DWD) and Open-Meteo.
The forecasts and risk assessments in this app are not official weather warnings and are explicitly not issued as such. Official weather warnings from the German Weather Service can be found at www.dwd.de.
Weather forecasts, especially short-term forecasts in the Eifel region, are subject to considerable uncertainty due to the small-scale topography and microclimate. The displayed probabilities and risk levels are statistical estimates, not guarantees. Actual weather on the track can differ significantly from the forecast.
The forecasts are generated with the help of an AI language model (Claude by Anthropic). AI models can make mistakes, misinterpret data, or provide incomplete answers. While the outputs are technically validated, they may still contain factual errors.
Use of NOS Weather is entirely at your own responsibility and risk.
Neither the operator of NOS Weather nor the authors of the system accept any liability for personal injury or property damage arising directly or indirectly in connection with the use of this app. This applies in particular to damage caused by:

NOS Weather is free and will remain so regardless of whether or how much is donated. Payments made via the “Buy Me a Coffee” and “PayPal donation” links are voluntary donations with no consideration in return – they create no contractual relationship beyond the free core functionality and no entitlement to specific features, support, or priority treatment.
Donations are earmarked to cover this project’s ongoing server, AI API and domain costs. Payment processing is handled exclusively by the third-party providers named above (Buy Me a Coffee, PayPal); their respective payment, withdrawal and refund terms apply. We do not process refunds ourselves.
The names “Nürburgring” and “Nordschleife” are registered trademarks of Nürburgring 1927 GmbH & Co. KG. NOS Weather uses these names purely descriptively to identify the geographic location and has no affiliation with the track operator.
